Northern Ireland credit card customers can avail of free and unlimited online access to their credit reports for 30 days with CreditExpert – as well as benefitting from £2 cashback through cashNI.
CreditExpert also provides advice and tips on improving your credit rating and alerts you when there are changes to your credit report.
This week, industry body the Payments Council is advising credit card customers in Northern Ireland and the wider UK to avoid damaging their credit histories by making repayments by direct debit or via online banking, rather than risking sending cheques by post.
Last week, the Communication Workers' Union confirmed that national postal strikes planned for 22nd and 23rd October are to go ahead.
Paul Smee, chief executive of the Payments Council, notes that direct debits were used for over three-quarters of all personal and household bill payments last year.
"However, customers who don't yet use direct debits should make sure they use an alternative form of payment to avoid receiving any late fees as a result of the strike action," he adds.
Any credit card customers in Northern Ireland who have already sent cheques to pay bills are advised to get in touch with their providers.
